Terms of Service

1. The deal

By downloading or playing Battlingo (“the game”) you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, don’t play the game. On iOS, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies; on Android, the Google Play Terms of Service also apply.

2. Your license

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to play the game on devices you own or control. The game, its artwork, words, characters and code remain our property.

3. Purchases

There are two kinds of in-app purchase, both processed by Apple or Google Play. Word packs are one-time purchases: they unlock digital content inside the game and stay yours. WordFighter Premium is an auto-renewable weekly subscription: while it is active every word pack is unlocked, and access ends when the subscription ends — it does not turn the packs into permanent purchases. The price is shown in the app and on the store before you confirm. Premium renews automatically each week until cancelled; you can cancel at any time in the subscription settings of your Apple or Google account, and access continues to the end of the period already paid for. Purchased content has no real-world monetary value and cannot be transferred, resold or exchanged. Purchases can be restored on a new device with “Restore purchases”. Refunds are handled by the store you bought from (Apple or Google) under its refund policy.

4. Fair play

Don’t cheat, exploit bugs, disrupt online matches, or use offensive display names. We may reset records or restrict online features for accounts that break this rule. (Offline play is never taken away.)

5. Online features

Online multiplayer is optional and provided as-is. We may change, suspend, or retire online features; the offline game does not depend on them.

6. No warranties, limited liability

The game is provided “as is”, without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages arising from your use of the game. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under mandatory consumer law.

7. Changes

We may update these terms; the current version always lives at this address. Continuing to play after a change means you accept the updated terms.

8. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Norway, without affecting your mandatory consumer rights in your country of residence.
